The meaning of the current era is a crisis of the project of Modernity, which manifests itself through the de-Christianization of the West and the American black revolution with is voodoo cult, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on February 18 on the Right to Know program on the TVC channel.
“Everything that is taking place… is a crisis of the entire huge project of Modernity,” the political scientist outlined his view of the meaning of the current era.
Kurginyan explained that the Modernity project is a certain global system based on nation states, rules, and agreements. The project relies on the belief in rationality, in reason governing the world.
“Besides, it also has certain Christian culture,” the analyst noted. It maintains despite the fact that the world is “disenchanted,” according to Max Weber, and that, according to Karl Marx, everything is “drowned in the icy water of egotistical calculation.”
“All this is hastily disappearing,” the expert continued.
According to Kurginyan, de-Christianization will follow de-Communization. The dreams like “well, we will overthrow the commies and have a Christian renaissance” failed to come true. Kurginyan cited Pope John Paul II who said that “a civilization of death is coming.”
“Everything begins with de-Christianization, then it proceeds through all this gender policy from patriarchy to something else. To something that psychoanalyst of the Jung’s formation Neumann called ‘time of the Dark Mother,’ a dark matriarchy,” the philosopher explained.
The voodoo cult is replacing Christianity in the USA, which came with the slaves from Dahomey (today it is Benin and Togo), Kurginyan stressed. He pointed out the BLM (Black Lives Matter) movement. In contrast to the opinion entrenched among the Soviet people raised on the Harriet Beecher Stowe’s novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin, about poor black people, there are other novels that depict the slaves differently, Kurginyan reminded. “These slaves, who were definitely exploited in a merciless way, and we sympathize them, gathered for shamanist dances in a voodoo cult or something like that, and they did things that terrified the southern plantation owners,” he said.
“Then these black people were granted freedom, and they began to unleash a little, but they were confined, and now they are releasing like a spring. They are beginning to set the tone,” the political scientist warned.
He pointed out that today, perfect black Americans like Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell are replaced with different people like Barack Obama and his church pastor Jeremiah Wright, who are much more African than American.
“This is a black revolution to the max,” Sergey Kurginyan stressed.
The philosopher discusses how America can answer to the de-Christianization challenge. According to Kurginyan, to answer, they need not Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis but “someone tougher, like Willy Stark (a hero of the novel All the King’s Men) at his best.” But we cannot see such a hero so far, “maybe he is hiding in the shadows,” he added. Otherwise, the process will unleash further “with all the gender stuff and everything else.”
“So, what will America look like? What kind of convergence between the uprise of this black America in America and Africa will take place? What will we see tomorrow from the social and cultural point of view?” the analyst asked.
