Croatian President: Conflict in Ukraine is a confrontation between the United States and Russia

22.02.2023, Zagreb.

The conflict in Ukraine is a confrontation between the U.S. and Russia, and Moscow and Washington will negotiate about it, said Croatian President Zoran Milanovic on February 22, reports TV channel N1.

According to the Croatian president, Germany and Croatia are not parties to the Ukrainian issue. He also noted that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia was suspending its participation in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty. But the USA did so in 2001.

“Whoever thinks that this [confrontation in Ukraine – Rossa Primavera News Agency] started a year ago is either lying to himself or does not see anything,” Milanovic said.

Earlier the Croatian president refused to train the Ukrainian military on the territory of the country and also ruled out the possibility of the participation of Croatian soldiers in the conflict.
