Russia has offered the Middle Eastern countries to jointly create weapons

Russia has made a proposal to the countries of the Middle East to begin joint production of weapons, in particular, the light fighter of the fifth generation Checkmate, head Aleksandr Mikheev, the CEO  of the JSC Rosoboronexport, announced on February 16.

“Rosoboronexport is considering options for the joint creation of modern high-tech products, including a fifth-generation fighter based on the Checkmate light tactical aircraft,” the CEO of the state enterprise said on the eve of the international arms exhibition IDEX-2023.

The first presentation of the new Russian promising fifth-generation fighter Checkmate took place at the MAKS-2021 air show. The declared characteristics of the new fighter: speed – up to Mach 2, range – up to 3000 km, payload mass – 7.4 tons.

The fighter is planned to be equipped with radar with active phased antenna array, installation of all-round optical and radio reconnaissance system, built-in electronic warfare system, optical sighting system, wideband communication system.
