The Russian military eliminated over 180 Ukrainian fighters and destroyed 23 pieces of equipment on the southern direction, the Defense Ministry reported on January 4.
“As a result of artillery strikes on concentrations of Ukrainian army’s manpower and equipment in the areas of Vladimirovka, Prechistovka, Novoukrainka of the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as Chervonoye of the Zaporozhye region, over 180 Ukrainian fighters, five tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles, three armored fighting vehicles and ten vehicles were destroyed during the day,” the defence ministry noted.
Earlier in the area of Dorozhnyanka in the DPR, the Ukrainian armed units several times tried to counterattack. The counterattacks were disrupted, and the enemy was pushed back to its initial positions.
