Putin arrives in Tula for a meeting regarding the troop supplies

Vladimir Putin had arrived in the city of Tula on December 23 to conduct a meeting aimed at coordinating the Russian troop supplies during the special military operation in Ukraine, reports the Presidential Press and Information Office.

The president is to visit the KBP Instrument Design Bureau named after Academician Shipunov, which develops weapons systems. Alexei Dyumin, the Governor of the Tula Region, will join the president during his visit. It is planned is to show the president the new situation room at the bureau.

Earlier, during the board meeting at the Ministry of Defence, the president said that Russia does have a margin of safety assessing the state of the country’s armed forces, as well as such weapons prototypes and equipment that other countries do not have.

The US has already provided about $17.6 billion in military assistance to Ukraine. NATO countries are supplying weapons to Ukraine to counter the Russian military special operation. Among them are the US made large-caliber artillery systems and High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), a multiple rocket launcher system.

Russia has warned Western countries that arms supplies to Ukraine will only escalate the conflict. Any shipments of weapons going to Ukraine can become targets for the Russian army to strike.
