Kurginyan: Intimidation using nuclear weapons can lead to disaster

Intimidating the West with a possible nuclear response by Russia is not a real threat, but in an unstable system it could lead to a tragic disaster, stated philosopher, analyst, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview with Anna Shafran on Radio Zvezda, published on December 9 on YouTube.

Sergey Kurginyan noted that no one has the power to make serious decisions, either “directly in power or standing behind its back,” wants a strategic nuclear war.

The political scientist explained that the strategists capable of unleashing a nuclear conflict are deeper, not in leading positions. The philosophy of these people, if explained in Hindu terms, boils down to the idea that the age of Kali Yuga or the most immoral age is ending, and an equilibrium storm is coming, the philosopher noted.

He added that, according to these people, after the storm, the world will need to move anew from Kali Yuga to Satya Yuga, an age of purity and righteousness. This concept is not predominant in Western society, not the elite promotes it, but by a certain counter-elite, the analyst noted.

Kurginyan explained that on the Russian side, talk about a possible nuclear response is carried out solely as part of the information war and only to deter the West.

The people I see, they don’t want a strategic nuclear war at all. ‘Would Russians get upset, or would they not get upset, what if they strike. Who knows?!’ It prevents something from happening. So, the position of a number of high-status figures in our information war is to talk about nuclear war all the time, but not to make it happen,” the philosopher pointed out.

As Kurginyan explained, such an approach can end badly. Under the conditions of an unstable system and ever-increasing pressure, “someone may lose their composure, and a malfunction in the system can easily happen“.
