European Commission reports that Hungary freezes €870 million worth of Russian assets

About a month ago, the Hungarian authorities froze Russian assets in the amount of €870 million, based on the European Commission’ documents released on December 16.

The documents indicate that a month ago, Russian assets in Hungary were frozen only in the amount of €3,000.

Earlier, representatives from the European Commission complained that Hungary was in no hurry to implement the EU sanctions policy against Russia and its assets.
