The West wants to achieve Russia’s total isolation; to this end, it is trying to instigate the use of tactical nuclear weapons, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview to Anna Shafran on the Zvezda radio station published on December 9 on YouTube.
The political scientist noted that low-power nuclear weapons cannot turn the tide of the military operation as it would look like “a hundred dollars worth talk with a ten cents worth effect.” Also, modern conventional arms is not less efficient than nuclear ones.
“But how attractive it is [to the West]! If the Russians do it, it would open the way to separating them from China and definitely from India. If someone else gets frightened, a more profound isolation would begin, and we would run out of our resources even faster. This is what is called ‘the anaconda strategy,’” Kurginyan explained.
Since February 24, the Russian army together with the armed forces of the DPR and the LPR conducts a special military operation for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. A number of liberated regions, including the republics of Donbass, have become part of Russia.
