Kurginyan believes that Russian elite’s attempts to negotiate with the West are affecting the SMO

Much of what is happening during the special operation is the result of an attempt to negotiate by the elite, which would like to return to the status quo before the special operation, said philosopher, analyst and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in the Right to Know program on the TVC channel on November 12.

In Kurginyan’s opinion, none of the political processes in the West will bring Russia back to the pre-SMO state. The politicians who say that it is necessary to endure an economic crisis for the sake of defeating Russia will prevail in the West. And they will make the “capricious French lady” wash her face once a week. The Republicans coming to power in the US, though they are still far from it will change nothing for Russia.

This is because in this crisis they will stand and stand in a way that will allow to cause the most harm to us. There will be no shift in the direction, ‘Let’s somehow mitigate, let’s agree with the Russians to mitigate the crisis’. No transition from one political force to another will change anything,” he said.

The political analyst explained that we are talking about a long-term consensus of the two US parties, or to be more precise, of the two elites: the Grand Lodge of the East and the National Lodge. The Russian leaders should not wait for this consensus to fail, nor should it harbor hopes that the horrors of the crises will make the West come to its senses and begin to be friends with Russia. “This is utopia,” he stressed.

In the recent past, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the West would “calm down and change its mind.”

I will be glad if it does, but I don’t believe it at all. And I know that all these chimeras of the agreements (most of what is happening are these chimeras) are truly chimeras, the neurotic glitches of an elite that would like to go back to the past before the special operation. And you can’t go back to that past. The question is not how much one would like to, the question is, is it ever possible? There are no processes that can bring us back,” says Kurginyan.
