An attempt by the Ukrainian Army to seize the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) was repulsed by Russian troops, says chairman of the We are Together with Russia movement Vladimir Rogov on October 19, according to RIA Novosti news agency.
“After the shelling of the city, there was an attempt to land troops, including for the purpose of capturing the ZNPP. The combat went on for at least three to three and a half hours,” he said.
Rogov noted that Russian troops repulsed attempts by the Ukrainian Army to land troops and to seize the Zaporozhye NPP.
He pointed out that a large group of Ukrainian militants was moving from the southern direction of the city of Zaporozhye in commando boats, with a large laden vessel following them.
