Historian Annie Lacroix-Riz: US wanted to conquer Russia back in the 1940s

The US Military began to work out plans for the conquest of the USSR during World War II, said French historian Annie Lacroix-Riz in her interview with The Essence of Time newspaper.

From the moment the possibility of Soviet victory over Nazi Germany became clear, say, from 1944, the Americans had been plotting a war against Russia. If you don’t believe me, I suggest you take a look at the Foreign relations archives,” Lacroix-Riz said.

However, as the researcher notes, Joseph Stalin “turned out to be not so stupid,” and the war-weakened USSR then withstood the pressure of the world’s main imperialist predator.

Eventually the United States got rid of the other empires finally between 1945 and, say, the 1960s. After that, only the USSR remained. Well, now the goal is obvious – to conquer this damn Russia, whether Soviet or non-Soviet, and plunder it,” the doctor of history says.
