The ruling regime in Ukraine has a terrorist essence, as evidenced by its reaction to the damage to the Crimean bridge, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel on October 8.
“The Kiev regime’s reaction to the destruction of civilian infrastructure demonstrates its terrorist nature,” she wrote.
On the morning of October 8 there was a powerful explosion on the Crimean bridge. As a result, the roadbed part of the bridge collapsed. Traffic on the railroad tracks was also blocked because of the fire in the tanks of the cargo train.
The bridge is closed and the authorities intend to launch a ferry service. According to preliminary information, there were no injuries. Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed a government commission to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
“Crimea, the bridge, the beginning. Everything illegal must be destroyed, everything stolen must be returned to Ukraine, everything occupied by Russia must be expelled,” was how the assistant head of the Ukrainian presidential office Mikhail Podolyak reacted to the report of the explosion on his page in one of the social networks.
The head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andrey Danilov, accompanied the footage of the destroyed bridge with a performance of Marilyn Monroe singing “Happy Birthday” in honor of US President John F. Kennedy’s birthday (Russian President Vladimir Putin had turned 70 the day before the explosion – Rossa Primavera News Agency commentary). Earlier, Ukrainian officials repeatedly stated that the Ukrainian Army would strike the Crimean bridge as soon as technically possible.
