The era of Russia’s entering the West is over, stated philosopher, political analyst, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on air of Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda on September 30.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin is aware of the urgency and complexity of the situation, the existential nature of confronting the collective West.
President Putin showed his ultimate position regarding the confrontation with the West by signing treaties on the integration of former Ukrainian territories into Russia after the referendums held there, Kurginyan explained.
“He has shown once again with these actions <…> that he will go all the way,” the political scientist said.
According to Sergey Kurginyan, talks about reconciliation with Ukraine on the condition that Kiev recognizes the former regions of Ukraine as part of Russia are ironic. In reality, making peace with Ukraine will only be possible if Russian troops are in Kiev.
“This can all be recognized if our troops are in Kiev, and a protégé of ours would brought in, so to speak, for this recognition. Otherwise, it (the incorporation of the former territories of Ukraine into Russia – Rossa Primavera News Agency‘s commentary) cannot be recognized,” the political analyst said.
President Putin understands that present-day Ukraine will never accept peace talks on Russia’s terms, Kurginyan explained. Thus, the era of the idea of Russia joining the collective Western world is over, the philosopher believes.
“Now the main thing is to realize the following: That’s it. This era is over. It is over. All jokes aside, gentlemen! That’s it, this is another reality in which we need to talk about something else and in a different language, with different people,” Sergey Kurginyan concluded.
