The counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army in the DPR and LPR, which had been widely announced, is on the verge of failure. The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov stated this on his Telegram channel on September 22.
“The enemy is well aware of the high combat capability of our soldiers, which periodically results in uncontrollable hysteria and video appeals [of the Ukrainian fighters] to the command to get them out of trouble. The ‘widely announced counteroffensive” of the Ukrainian army on the liberated territories is already on the verge of failure. Our courageous fighters will finally bury this event widely spread through the corrupt media,” the Chechen leader said in a message.
Since February 24, Russia has been carrying out a military special operation, the goals of which have been declared the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine to protect the residents of Donbass.
On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of partial mobilization. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said that an additional military contingent was needed to control the 1,000-kilometer front line and territories liberated from Ukrainian nationalists.
