DPR head Denis Pushilin and LPR head Leonid Pasechnik discussed the appeals of DPR and LPR Civic Chambers on holding a referendum on the republics joining Russia, Pushilin wrote on his official Telegram channel on September 19.
“I discussed the appeals of the LPR and DPR Civic Chambers and the need to synchronize further actions with my counterpart Leonid Pasechnik,” the DPR head wrote.
Pushilin proposed to unite the efforts of the administrations of the heads of the republics, the apparatuses of the parliaments, “so that they worked out those steps, that algorithm of action, which will allow to begin the preparation for the referendum.”
The DPR head expressed confidence that the republics, acting synchronously, will cope, just as they did in 2014, when simultaneous referendums on independence were held.
On September 19, the DPR and LPR Civic Chambers unanimously supported an appeal to the heads of the republics to immediately hold a referendum on joining Russia.
