Kurginyan: The potential destroyed in 1990s is almost impossible to restore

31.08.2022, Moscow.

The main component of productive forces, the people, was destroyed in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and it will not be easy for Russia to restore it, said political scientist, philosopher and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on August 25 in a new issue of his original program Destiny published on the movement’s YouTube channel.

Kurginyan stressed that, canonically, the key component of the productive forces is the people, “their knowledge, their labor skills, their production experience.”

This component is easy to destroy, but almost impossible to restore, the political scientist noted. He believes that this is exactly the kind of destruction that happened in Russia in 1990s.

“The most advanced part of our scientific and engineering community, of our academic intelligentsia, was the key component of the productive forces that is the most easy to destroy and that is almost impossible to restore,” Kurginyan indicated.

The philosopher reminded the words said by Chubais about the part of the Soviet intelligentsia who had a positive attitude to him. “They applauded us, many of them, and I was thinking: you will be the first ones whom we will destroy, we do not need you.”

After the productive and technical potential of the country was totally destroyed during the perestroika, it left only relics, inclusions, which cannot replace what was destroyed, the political scientist believes.

“One way or another, this key component of any productive forces was destroyed almost everywhere. Very little was preserved, and the preserved relics will never compensate for the loss of the whole of which they were parts,” Kurginyan concluded.

In the series of his original broadcasts Destiny, the leader of the Essence of Time movement is trying to examine whether Russia will remain standing in its confrontation with the West, which has declared it a war of extermination. Answering this question, Kurginyan explains what kind of almost invincible obstacles Russia has to overcome in order to win in this conflict.
