Vehicles with medical symbols and vehicles of the “White Helmets” organization are used for shelling the positions of government forces and settlements under the control of the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) armed forces, Captain First Rank Yevgeny Gerasimov said on July 17, the press service of the Russian Center for the reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria (part of the Russian Ministry of Defense) reported.

“Carrying out mortar shelling of positions of government forces and towns and villages under the control of the SAR, the militants use cars with medical symbols and vehicles of the pseudo-humanitarian organization ‘White Helmets’ for redeployment,” the message reads.

The report reads, “Over the past 24 hours 16 violations of the ceasefire were reported, including 8 violations by Jabhat al-Nusra (organization banned in the Russian Federation) in the Idlib de-escalation zone, 5 violations in Aleppo province, 2 violations in Idlib province and 1 violation in Latakia.”

It is also reported that no humanitarian actions took place over the past 24 hours. Russian military police conducted patrols in Aleppo, Raqqa and Hasaka provinces. The provision of the Russian-Turkish “Memorandum of Understanding” adopted on October 22, 2019, is being implemented.

The organization White Helmets, founded by a former British officer in 2013, consisted of people who opposed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in 2011.

The White Helmets have been seen filming falsifications such as the chemical attack in the Syrian city of Douma. The video footage shows how, after a “chemical attack” with nerve gas allegedly conducted by the Syrian government, the White Helmets poured water from bottles on the “victims of the chemical attack,” after which the “victims” began to regain consciousness. Journalists then found Hassan Diab’s child, who participated in filming the fake video by the White Helmets, and the child told about the production of the video.
