LPR ambassador to Russia: Ukrainian nationalists retreat from Lisichansk to Seversk

28.06.2022, Lugansk.

Ukrainian nationalist units are retreating from Lisichansk and its suburbs toward Seversk, LPR ambassador to Russia Rodion Miroshnik wrote on his Telegram channel on June 28, citing reports from local residents.

Miroshnik said that local residents “observe the beginning of the withdrawal of armed Ukrainian units from Lisichansk.”

According to local residents, on June 27, Ukrainian militants tried to pass through Verkhnekamenka in the direction of Seversk, “but due to the attacks of allied artillery and Russian air force, several columns were lost.”

The Ukrainian nationalists then attempted to break through Belogorovka. The outcomes of this attempt are being specified.

“The Ukrainian reserve units are withdrawing and trying to find escape routes from Novodruzhevka, Privolye, and Shepilovo. They are all withdrawing toward Seversk. There, to Seversk, according to eyewitnesses, Ukrainian troops from the direction of Kramatorsk and Slavyansk are also being redeployed. According to sources familiar with the situation on that direction, up to 5-7 thousand Ukrainian armed units may be redeployed to Seversk,” Miroshnik writes.
