Russian troops liberate 11 villages and towns south of Lisichansk

Units of the “Center” group of Russian troops under the command of Colonel General Aleksandr Lapin liberated 11 towns and villages during the creation of the encirclement of Lisichansk on the southern direction, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, said at a briefing on June 24.

“Within five days they liberated 11 villages and towns, the largest of them being Loskutovka, Mirnaya Dolina, and Ustinovka,” Konashenkov noted.

Earlier it was reported that Russian troops took up to two thousand Ukrainian servicemen into a cauldron in the village of Gorskoe, and a grouping of Ukrainian troops is also completely blocked in Zolotoye.

According to the Defense Ministry, about 1,800 servicemen, 120 Right Sector Nazis (organization banned in Russia), up to 80 foreign mercenaries, as well as more than 40 armored vehicles and about 80 guns and mortars are surrounded.
