Kurginyan: The West is trying to deny Russia its Victory

12.05.2022, Moscow.

The Western world is trying to diminish Russia’s role in World War Two and even to take its Victory away from it for a number of reasons, said political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on May 11 in an interview to BelTA.

Kurginyan reminded that the Western coalition “was pretty far” from the main fronts of World War Two. The French infamously surrendered, and the British and the Americans “kept messing around somewhere in Africa” up to the very end of the war.

Besides, Hitler had quite a number of allies, and some still keep promoting an interpretation of the events of 1940s as a war of “united Europe” against the USSR and communism.

“Finally, who fought seriously in the underground? 95% were communists, they were called ‘the executed party’… All these parameters are extremely uncomfortable [for the West],” the leader of Essence of Time noted.

Also, according to Kurginyan, as long as Russia, Belarus, and all the post-Soviet republics keep their memory about the Great Victory, they have a basis for common greatness, “but if this stone is kicked out, what will remain?”

And most importantly, Kurginyan noted, if a serious war against Russia is planned, then why leave any memory about the fact that this country once saved the world from the absolute evil of fascism?
