Russian ambassador to Poland attacked during flower laying at memorial

A crowd of unidentified persons attacked the Russian ambassador to Poland during a flower laying ceremony at the cemetery of Soviet soldiers, TASS reported on May 9.

The report reads that the crowd of attackers prevented the ambassador from laying a wreath at the memorial, and the Russian diplomat was doused with red paint.

After the incident, the ambassador was able to leave the site of the ceremony accompanied by police.

On the same day in Warsaw, Poles and refugees from Ukraine staged an anti-Russian masquerade procession, which was accompanied by mocking costume plays and slogans against Russia.
