Russian serviceman tells about Kiev nationalists’ treatment of POWs

05.04.2022, Moscow.

Ukrainian nationalists beat Russian POWs and filmed it, according to a report by a Russian serviceman Omar who returned from captivity. A video of his story was published by the Russian Defense Ministry on April 4.

The prisoners were tied up by their hands and feet before beating.

“They tied my hands and feet and started beating me… with their feet on my face and head. What I was kicked on my face I fell unconscious,” Omar said.

The other captives also told him that they were beaten with the butt on their ribs and head.

Because of his beard, the Ukrainian nationalists called him Kadyrov’s soldier and Chechen. They threatened Omar with hanging, castration, and other abuses. Also, according to the shouts he heard, one of the servicemen was tortured.

The Ukrainian nationalists were filming the process of beating, according to Omar.

Previously, the Defense Ministry published a video showing a serviceman named Maksim who returned from captivity told that Ukrainian nationalists beat to death a Russian POW.

Kiev previously made a statement that it would not observe the Geneva Convention in its treatment of the Russian POWs.

Over eight years, the ideology of the Ukrainian nationalists, which is similar to the Nazi ideology, was promoted in the child daycare centers, schools, universities, and military training schools of Ukraine.

During the special operation for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the Russian army together with the troops of the LPR and the DPR are fighting against the Ukrainian nationalist units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ukrainian army, who place their firing positions in residential areas and prevent civilians from leaving through humanitarian corridors to use them as human shields.
