Progress of the liberation of Ukraine. Rossa Primavera News Agency’s report. March 25 (5:00 pm)

The Rossa Primavera News Agency publishes a summary of events in Ukraine as of 5 p.m. on March 25.

A group of “night hunters” consisting of Ka-52 and Mi-28N helicopters destroyed 24 pieces of military equipment, including seven tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles and three armored personnel carriers.

Overnight, tactical and army aviation hit 51 Ukrainian military targets. Among them: two command posts, three multiple rocket launchers, two Buk-M1 surface-to-air missile systems and one S-300 radar in the area of Dnepropetrovsk, three D-30 artillery pieces, two depots of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition, and 26 areas where military equipment was amassed.

Russian air defense forces shot down four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over Boromlya, Borshchevaya, Oleshnya and Usoki settlements.

A total of 261 unmanned aerial vehicles, 204 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1,587 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 163 multiple rocket launchers, 636 field artillery and mortar guns, and 1,397 pieces of special military vehicle equipment have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation.

Over the month the losses of the Ukrainian troops amounted to about 30,000 people, including more than 14,000 dead and about 16,000 injured – the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Of the 2,416 tanks and other combat armored vehicles in the Ukrainian army as of February 24, 1,587 were destroyed – Russian Ministry of Defense

112 of the 152 Ukrainian military plains and 75 of the 149 helicopters remain, 35 of the 36 Bayraktar TB2 drones were destroyed – Russian Ministry of Defense.

Unfortunately, there are losses among our comrades-in-arms during the special military operation. As of today, 1,351 servicemen have been killed and 3,825 have been wounded – Russian Ministry of Defense.

Kiev direction

On the evening of March 24, high-precision sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles struck a fuel base in the village of Kalinovka near Kiev. The largest remaining fuel base of the Ukrainian army, which supplied fuel to military units in the central part of the country, was destroyed.

Kharkov direction

The area near Kharkov airport was hit.

Izyum’s anti-Russian mayor Marchenko claimed that local MPs Anatoly Fomichevsky and Yuri Kozlov, along with former police officer Vladislav Sokolov and former mayor Oleksandr Bozhkov, started cooperating with the Russian military. Marchenko claims that they provide the Russian Armed Forces with information about the location of Ukrainian troops, local Banderites, and territorial defense battalions. The above-mentioned people are also blamed for providing the population with humanitarian aid from Russia.

Liberation of the LPR and DPR

The Russian Armed Forces advanced another 4 kilometers overnight and took the village of Troitskoye under control. They are now developing an offensive against units of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian army.

As of March 25, 2022, on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, a grouping of DPR troops with fire support from the Russian Armed Forces has liberated and established full control over 132 towns and villages, including Aslanovo, Khersones, Kellerovka, Yalta, Yurievka, Azovskoye, Melekino, Belosarayskaya Kosa, Buryakovaya Balka, Portovskoye, Glubokoye, Ogorodnoye, Demyanovka, Urzuf, Kamyshevatoye, Starodubovka, Krasnaya Ukraina, Zakharovka, Babakh-Tarama, Novoyanisol, Lesnoye, Malovodnoye, Zaporozhskoye, Bakhchevik, Druzhnoye, Obilnoye, Polkovoye, Kirovskoye, Privolnoye, Veseloye (Volnovakh district).

The Russian Air Force destroyed a fuel and lubricants base in Konstantinovka, not far from Slavyansk. An operation to liberate occupied DPR towns is underway in this area.

The Russian Air Force dealt a heavy blow to a Ukrainian tank base in Artemovsk. Bakhmut (as Artemovsk is called in Ukraine) is situated in an occupied part of the DPR, where a tank base and military depots are located.

A large part of Mariinka is being mopped up, and the DPR forces have taken most of the village under control. The village is expected to be fully liberated in the next few days.

Mariupol

Combat is underway in the center of the city. The armies of the DPR and the Russian Federation are cutting the Nazi forces into separate cauldrons. Up to 7 thousand militants remain in the city. Half of them are units of the 36th regiment of the Ukrainian army, the 56th division of the Ukrainian army and the 17th brigade of the Ukrainian army, the rest are the Azov (organization banned in the Russian Federation) and the territorial defense battalions. Most of the militants are gathered in industrial zones.

During the day on March 25, from 08:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m., 342 people, including 65 children, were evacuated from Mariupol to Bezymennoye in the Novoazovsky district. At present, they are in the evacuation centers, which were deployed by the DPR Emergencies Ministry.

The United Russia party opened a humanitarian aid center in Mariupol.

The Secretary of the General Council of “United Russia” Andrey Turchak met with residents of Mariupol and other villages and towns, which are subjected to daily attacks by the armed formations of Ukraine, together with the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin and State Duma deputy Dmitry Sablin. They also visited an evacuation center in the village of Volodarskoye. Here people are provided with everything they need and provided with medical care, after which they are evacuated to Russia. On average, about 1,700 people pass through this center every day.

Shelling of LPR and DPR territory

As a result of the military aggression of the Ukrainian army, 1 civilian was killed and 36 more people were wounded, including 1 child. Twenty-six houses and seven civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged. The Ukrainian militants fired a total of 425 rounds of ammunition.

The enemy opened fire on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic using 122 mm multiple rocket launchers, 122 mm artillery, 120 mm mortars and BMP weapons. Areas of 12 settlements of the republic came under the fire of the Ukrainian army.

Donetsk

A 50-years-old woman was injured as a result of the shelling in Kirovsky district. Diagnosed with shrapnel wounds and detachment of the right shin, as well as traumatic shock, she was hospitalized in city hospital No. 24.

Also with a shrapnel wound of the abdomen on the left side, right shoulder joint area, a 43-years-old civilian from this district was taken to the surgical department of the Guskov Institute of Medical and Forensic Chemistry. V.K. Husak.

As a result of the shelling of Staromikhailovka village, Kalinina street, a 49-years-old woman was killed. A shell also damaged part of a residential house.

Gorlovka

The Ukrainian army opened fire on the meat processing plant in Horlivka. The building of the Gorlovka meat processing plant located at 1a Khlebozavodskaya Street was damaged as a result of the shelling.

The LPR

Nine multi-story buildings and the central library of Pervomaysk were damaged as a result of artillery shelling of the town.

Over the past 24 hours, Kiev’s militants shelled the territory in the LPR’s area of responsibility once.

Political situation

NY Times citing experts writes that the US and EU plan to reduce energy dependence on Russia is more of a symbolic nature, as the USA will not be able to supply more liquefied natural gas (LNG) yet, and the EU to import it. “In the near term there are really no good options, other than begging an Asian buyer or two to give up their L.N.G. tanker for Europe,” said Robert McNally, who was an energy adviser to former President George W. Bush.

Erdogan said Turkey will not join sanctions against Russia because it cannot allow its citizens to freeze without Russian gas.

“There are not enough rubles on Russian currency markets and private, non-sanctioned Russian banks to exchange enough currency for gas deals. So customers from Europe will have to buy rubles from the Central Bank, which, under EU sanctions,” Düsseldorf-based economist Jens Südekum told the Spiegel.

Ukraine

According to Erdogan, the topics of the peace agreement on which Russia and Ukraine are close to compromise:

  2. Partial disarmament.
  3. Collective security.
  4. Russian will be the second official language in Ukraine.

Discussed: Crimea and Donbass, Ukraine is not moving toward a rapprochement on these issues.

Western countries

Biden said that if Indonesia and others don’t agree [with the proposal to exclude Russia from the G20], then Ukraine should be allowed to participate in the G20 meetings and be an observer.

Greek First Deputy Foreign Minister Varvitsiotis told The Hill that the sanctions against Russia are aimed at overthrowing the government in the country through internal disturbances and are designed to incite the opposition in Russia and provoke the unrest, but disavowed his statement after sharp criticism from the opposition.

The Polish prime minister said that Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic had prepared a 10-point plan to support Ukraine.
