On March 10, at a meeting of the Security Council on the Syrian chemical dossier, Dmitriy Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, accused his colleagues of spreading lies about the alleged deaths of civilians in Maternity Hospital No. 1 in Mariupol.
At the last meeting, representatives of the United States, the United Kingdom and Albania decided to talk about the situation in Ukraine, deviating from the scheduled topic. For example, Ferit Hoxha, Albania’s permanent representative to the UN, used a fake story about the alleged attack of Russian troops on a maternity hospital in Mariupol.
The Russian representative drew everyone’s attention to the letter of the Russian permanent representative, which was proposed as an official document in the Security Council.
“Back on March 7, during our address to the Council, we drew your attention to the fact that this facility had long ago been seized by Ukrainian militants and turned into a strike facility for Ukrainian nationalists. There are no women in labor or patients there for a long time now,” Polyanskiy said in his speech, pointing to the use of fakes in attacks on Russia.
The first deputy Russian deputy ambassador to the United Nations added, “The residents of Mariupol, who are held as a human shield by the Ukrainian fighters, have parsed those pictures that were taken, online and identified the model who appeared in those pictures.”
