Kurginyan: Russia’s struggle has been called metaphysical for the first time

08.03.2022, Moscow.

The special operation in Ukraine is momentous for Russia, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on the program The Great Game on Channel One on March 6.

Kurginyan noted that for the first time the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill called the Ukrainian events a metaphysical war.

Patriarch Kirill noted that “we have engaged in a struggle having not physical, but metaphysical meaning.”

“In fact, this is a very serious statement. This is a declaration of a sort of jihad. This word is not said directly, it belongs to another religion, but a metaphysical war is ‘like two different poles,’ and this is very serious,” the political scientist explained quoting The Sacred War song by Vasily Lebedev-Kumach.

According to Kurginyan, the Banderite side will be redirecting the situation in Ukraine with the West’s help, and Russia will not be able to escape “this ultimate nature of the issue that the fate of Russia and the fate of Ukraine are one.”

“This is a momentous operation, a matter of life and death for our state,” Sergey Kurginyan said.

He stressed that any allegations that “a huge Russian bear has attacked a tiny Ukraine” are wrong. It is the West that has attacked Russia after focusing a superior force for this attack and preparing a bridgehead for this kind of a war.

“It is not a small Ukraine that is fighting against a huge Russian army, it is a small Russia, which keeps some sort of a metaphysical balance in the world, fighting against a huge, tremendous, and increasingly insane power,” the political scientist concluded.

Russia’s “attack” on Ukraine that US President Joe Biden “scheduled” for February 16 did not take place. Instead, a dramatic escalation in Donbass by the Ukrainian side began on February 17: the shelling intensified, sabotage groups became more active, etc.

As soon as on February 18, the leaders of the Donetsk and the Lugansk people’s republics (DPR and LPR) initiated the evacuation of their population to Russia.

On February 24 President of Russia Vladimir Putin initiated a special military operation in Ukraine after a request for help from the DPR and the LPR. The Russian authorities stressed that they were not fighting against the people of Ukraine and they had no plans to occupy Ukraine. The goal is the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill addressed the believers with a Forgiveness Sunday sermon, in which he stressed the metaphysical meaning of the operation in Ukraine. The head of the Russian Orthodox Church stressed that “forgiveness without justice is surrender and weakness.”

“This is why forgiveness must always maintain one’s right to stand on the side of light, on the side of the God’s truth,” the Patriarch said, adding that today in Ukraine “we have engaged in a struggle having not physical, but metaphysical meaning.” He stressed that the distinction between sanctity and sin must never be erased, and he urged to never reconcile with the violation of the law of love and justice.
