What has become known about Kiev’s plans to become a nuclear power?

The “nuclear Ukraine” project could become a reality in the very near future.

Ukraine’s withdrawal from neutral status is an existential threat to Russia. This has long been well known in the West. George Friedman, founder and director of the “shadow CIA,” the private intelligence-analytical organization Stratford, said this publicly back in 2015 at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

Evidence from recent days suggests that Russia could not delay in carrying out a military special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. It was not just about the attack of Bandera Ukraine of the Donbass with mass deaths of civilians, but about the fact that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s words that Ukraine would soon abandon its non-nuclear status could become a reality in the near future.

This is evidenced by Russian intelligence data. Today, March 6, a source in the “competent authorities” told RIA Novosti that Ukraine began carrying out scientific research to acquire a technological base for building its own nuclear weapons immediately after it joined the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons as a non-nuclear weapon state in 1994. However, this work began with particular vigor in 2014 on the tacit orders of then-President Pyotr Poroshenko.

“Thus, the data available to the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia indicates that R&D [Research and Development – Rossa Primavera News Agency] to create a nuclear explosive device that could later be used in the construction of nuclear warheads were conducted both in the uranium and plutonium areas. Ukraine’s scientific community has sufficient competence to create both ‘implosive’ and ‘gun-type’ devices,” the source said.

“According to Western experts, the Kiev regime was about to create a nuclear explosive device based on plutonium by covertly obtaining it from spent nuclear fuel stored in the country. Ukrainian specialists could manufacture such a device within a few months,” he added.

“Kiev’s implementation of its extremely dangerous ‘nuclear Ukraine’ project could become a reality in the very near future,” the interlocutor emphasized.

According to information available to Russia, work on the manufacture of a “dirty” bomb and the separation of plutonium proceeded at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. “The naturally elevated radiation background for the Chernobyl zone concealed such work,” the source said.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, the United States knew about these developments and allegedly participated in them. The point is that to accelerate scientific development, plutonium of appropriate quality is needed. According to Russian sources, Ukraine could have obtained it from the United States.

A key role in the creation of a nuclear explosive device was assigned to the National Scientific Center of the School of Physics and Technology of University of Kharkov. As the military special operation progressed, Kiev partially destroyed and partially transported nuclear weapons development documents from Kiev and Kharkov to the National University Lvov Polytechnic.

Important documentation on the creation of nuclear weapons was also in the possession of the Zaporozhzhye nuclear power plant. This may explain the clashes with Ukrainian nationalists in the administrative premises adjacent to the NPP.

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian leader’s statement about his desire to leave the status of a non-nuclear power did not arise on its own. Recently, a number of high-ranking Western officials have made a number of outspoken statements. For example, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that no one will forbid the North Atlantic Alliance to deploy nuclear weapons on Eastern European territories.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said that the Russian president should remember that France also has nuclear weapons. The head of the British Foreign Office, Elizabeth Truss, said that she was ready for a conflict between NATO and Russia, while the US president said that the only alternative to sanctions against Russia is a third world war, by definition a nuclear war.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine gives them a chance to come to their senses.
