Russian Foreign Ministry: Countries supplying weapons to the Kiev regime are its accomplices

05.03.2022, Moscow.

The countries that send weapons and mercenaries to Ukraine are complicit in the war crimes of the Kiev regime, the Russian Foreign Ministry voiced its position on March 5, RIA Novosti reported.

“Despite statements that NATO is not part of the ‘conflict in Ukraine,’ the alliance continues to assist the Kiev regime, including by supplying weapons. Individual member states condone sending mercenaries, including ‘ex-servicemen,’ to participate in hostilities on the side of nationalist formations,” said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

Thus, the leaders of these countries can be considered accomplices to the criminal acts of the Kiev regime.

“By doing so, the authorities of these countries become accomplices to war crimes,” Zakharova stressed.

On February 24, following a request for assistance from the DPR and LPR, Vladimir Putin launched a military special operation in Ukraine to protect civilians in Donbass from aggression by the Ukrainian army, as well as to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine.

In late February, Zelensky called for the formation of foreign legions from volunteers of other states. The Russian Defense Ministry, in turn, warned foreign nationals against trying to side with Kiev nationalist regime.
