Russian Defense Ministry: Russian army does not attack residential buildings in Ukraine

26.02.2022, Moscow.

The Russian army does not target residential buildings in Ukrainian cities, said Spokesman of the Russian Defense Ministry Major General Igor Konashenkov on February 26.

“The Russian army makes no strikes on residential areas in Ukrainian cities,” the spokesman of the Russian Defense Ministry said.

However, according to Konashenkov, the Russian intelligence reports that Ukrainian nationalists continue to deploy rocket and artillery units in residential areas in Kiev as well as other Ukrainian cities.

“The Ukrainian government has repeatedly said that it did not hide behind civilians or place any heavy weapons in cities. Such a blatant lie can have serious consequences,” Igor Konashenkov said.
