First trains with refugees from the DPR left for Russia

Several passenger trains carrying refugees from Gorlovka have left for Russia, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport of the Donetsk People’s Republic reported on February 19.

Evacuations from the DPR are carried out by motor vehicles, organized buses, and electric trains. Mostly women, minors, and elderly residents of the republic are leaving.

As Rossa Primavera News Agency reported, a few hours earlier, on February 19, the first trains with evacuees from the Lugansk People’s Republic arrived in the Rostov Region. One train with refugees has already been sent from Rostov Region to Voronezh Region.

The evacuation of residents of the LPR and DPR was announced by the authorities of the republics on February 18, due to the expected breakthrough of Ukrainian security forces into the territory of the republics.
