The Union State must ensure defense against information threats from abroad due to aggression against Russia and Belarus, Spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said on December 28, the BelRos TV channel reports.
“It is important for us to defend against the information threats which have long become not actually threats but consequence of direct aggression against our countries, Russia and Belarus,” Zakharova said.
She added that the countries should work together in various directions. She believes that Russia and Belarus will be able to establish new mass communication media.
The Spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that cooperation between various agencies and union bodies together with a legal framework will be able to solve the current information security problems. She also noted that the currently available resources should also be actively improved “not by residual principle.”
