Artificial intelligence and big data are military research in the first place. Information technology expert Igor Ashmanov said this on Doc-tok program on Channel One Russia on November 17.
“Artificial intelligence and big data are dual concepts in general. Artificial intelligence is used to process big data. And big data is used to train artificial intelligence. This is primarily a military technology,” Ashmanov said.
Key countries, the US in the first place, expect to use artificial intelligence technology to overcome nuclear parity. The rapid introduction of artificial intelligence in the defense industry directly draws us to World War III, the expert believes.
“As soon as our opponents understand that it is possible to bypass nuclear parity or think [that they could bypass it], and it is more likely that everything will not be so, that super-fast and super-smart weapons will be on the battlefield so fast, smart and autonomous, as immediately this war is likely to start,” Ashmanov said.
At the same time, for society, artificial intelligence and digitalization, in general, is, first of all, the complete destruction of privacy. This is a huge opportunity for social discrimination such as social rating, which has now been implemented in China, Ashmanov said.
