The pandemic made the idea of a “parallel society” relevant again, and this kind of a society needs its own media, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on November 14 in his original broadcast “The Meaning of the Game.”
“Most importantly, although this is quite difficult but not impossible, we must build our own systems. Not at once, after thinking hard, we must build our own television and our own aspects of this parallel reality. Otherwise, you call upon others to do something, but you are doing nothing yourself. We can’t allow ourselves overdo it, work ourselves to death doing it, or look ridiculous. We should do it in a smart, quiet, and tempered manner, but we will have to do it,” he said.
Kurginyan reminded how YouTube banned some his own broadcasts, indicating that YouTube, as any other private organization, has the right to a policy it deems appropriate.
“As for certain resources in media that have a really hard-line position on vaccination, ‘Vaccination now! Vaccination now!’ they have the right to do so. This is their position,” he added.
At the same time, political scientist believes that the political orientation of the media is an important factor.
“Indeed, why should we be saving our Motherland using resources that are involved in something different?” he explained.
The leader of Essence of Time also indicated “disturbing” initiatives in the promotion of vaccination, which fly in the face of orders given by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
