The Ukraine ― US Charter for Strategic Partnership, which the parties plan to sign in Washington, will contain new aspects of countering Russia, said the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, the Ukrinform news agency reported on November 10.
According to Kuleba, the sides have approved the text of an updated agreement containing a paragraph about countering “the Russian aggression.” Kuleba stressed that this has always been important for the Ukrainian side.
“When you see this text and its part about the Russian aggression, this will be the evidence of the irrevocable nature of the US policy to support Ukraine in countering the Russian Federation and the Russian aggression,” the minister said.
Besides, Kuleba stressed that the Charter is a strategic document, which will determine the relations between the two countries for decades. A change of administration in the White House will not affect this agreement.
Previously, Kuleba visited the USA to participate in a session of the Ukraine ― US Strategic Partnership Commission.
