Terrorists prepared a staged chemical attack in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring in the Syrian Arab Republic, told reporters on October 7.
“According to the available information, terrorists are planning to carry out a staged ‘chemical attack’ on the contact line near Kansafra and Kdura villages,” Kully said.
According to the Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides, terrorists from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (organization banned in Russia) have been working on the provocation for a month. Members of the fictitious public organization White Helmets and a number of representatives of local media will be involved in the staging.
Terrorists are going to use the provocation to “accuse the Syrian government forces of using poisonous substances against civilians.”
On October 2, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported that terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra (organization banned in Russia) delivered munitions containing poisonous substances to the Syrian province of Idlib. According to the agency, the munitions contain chlorine and sarin.
