Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) 20 times over the past week. The deputy chief of the DPR People’s Militia Eduard Basurin stated this, as Donetsk News Agency reported on September 1.
“Over the past week, 20 violations of the ceasefire by Ukrainian armed formations were reported,” Basurin said.
He specified that Ukrainian security forces used 122mm artillery shells, 120mm and 82mm mortar shells, as well as various types of grenade launchers and small arms.
Eleven villages came under fire. On the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian side fired at Mineralnoye, Vasilievka, Verkhnetoretskoye, on the Mariupol direction – at Sakhanka and Leninsky, on the Gorlovka direction – at Shirokaya Balka, Krutaya Balka, Dolomitnoye, Mikhaylovka, Panteleymonovka, the village of Gagarin Mine.
Earlier it was reported that in Donetsk held the “Call for the angels of Donbass” action in memory of children killed as a result of the Ukrainian shelling. The event was held near the memorial to the killed children of Donbass in the park of the 30th Anniversary of Victory. Many participants brought their children with them.
