LPR serviceman wounded as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian side

A soldier of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) was wounded as a result of Ukrainian forces’ shelling of Kalinovo village, Lugansk Information Center informed on July 20.

At 10.00 a.m. on July 20, the Ukrainian military opened fire on Kaliovo village. The fire came from the direction of Novozhvanovka village. As a result, a soldier of the LPR People’s Militia was wounded.

The LPR representative to the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCCC) reported the incident to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission and the Ukrainian side to the JCCCC.

Since July 2020, the participants of the contact group for the settlement of the situation in Ukraine agreed on additional measures to ensure a ceasefire, including a ban on the deployment of heavy weapons in populated areas, violation of ceasefire, offensive and reconnaissance, and sabotage activities.
