22.06.2021, Moscow.

The Ukrainian army is using the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCCC) as an instrument to deceive the DPR, said the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin. On June 22, he wrote this on his Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian army’s units use the tactics of terror and aggression, Pushilin added. He made his statement after the deaths of four DPR servicemen caused by the shelling of the Ukrainian military.

“The demonstrative violations of the agreements at the level of the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCCC) on the ceasefire can be regarded from only one point of view: The Ukrainian army uses the Ukrainian side in the JCCCC of as an instrument of deception and continues to use the tactics of terror and brutal aggression,” Pushilin wrote.

He also noted that in violation of the agreement to establish a ceasefire to evacuate the bodies of the killed servicemen, the Ukrainian military opened fire on the ambulance. He called such actions despicable and ordered an investigation “as to why the DPR People’s Militia did not take appropriate measures, namely return fire, which is directly prescribed by the Minsk agreements.”

Pushilin recalled that there is no prohibition on return fire among the additional measures to control the ceasefire. Although the DPR remains committed to the agreements approved at the level of the UN Security Council and by no means seeks to unleash the hot stage of the conflict, it must not and will not let Ukraine get away with its low tricks, said the DPR leader. Pushilin announced his intention to “implement appropriate countermeasures.”

Earlier, in the morning of June 21, the Ukrainian army shelled a Donetsk suburb. As a result, three DPR servicemen were killed, and one was seriously wounded. When an evacuation team drove to the site to take the insured serviceman and bodies of those killed in an ambulance, it came under the Ukrainian side’s fire. As a result of the shelling of the ambulance, one serviceman was killed, and another four servicemen were wounded. All this happened despite the declaration of a silence regime in the area as agreed with the Ukrainian side.

Since July 27, 2020 in Donbass additional measures to control the ceasefire, which were agreed by the participants of the contact group on the settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine. They include permanent ceasefire and a ban on offensive and reconnaissance and sabotage activities, the use of drones, the deployment of heavy weapons in populated villages and towns.
