China is becoming the number one power, and the US will search for various ways to counter it, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on June 4 on the air of the Topic program on the Union TV channel.
Sergey Kurginyan explained that the development of China is an extreme problem to the US, as it is going to eventually destroy the lifestyle US citizens are accustomed to.
“Is China becoming the number one power? Then should the world switch to the yuan? But it can’t switch to the yuan, because if it does, or even takes a step towards doing so, the US will drop not to the second position in the world, but to the third or the fourth. And as soon as it drops there, the US citizens’ economic and consumerist opportunities will dramatically fall. But they are overfed, these citizens. They are capricious, and they will not stand it,” the political scientist explained.
This is why the US elite will do its best to hinder China’s further development and to find various ways to do so, the expert noted.
“The US elite will never allow anyone to displace it from the first position to another one. Therefore, it will engage some scenarios to maintain the role it has,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
He also indicated that Russia will not seriously confront China despite US wishes.
“Russia will never seriously drift away from China. No one for anything in the world will convince Russia to, roughly speaking, become China’s enemy, with all the military consequences. This will never happen, but they need it to,” the expert stressed.
In this situation it is unclear what could be the basis for any common strategy for the US and Russia, and the reason for Biden to justify the reconciliation of the two countries, Sergey Kurginyan noted.
“Thus, what is strategically possible? To change something with the climate? Well, this may be possible. But will it make any difference? It will make absolutely no difference. Kerry will get some points from his efficient work on climate. What then? What is the follow up? Nothing, no further steps,” he explained.
The expert also noted that other forces supported by the US and the UK are gathering against Russia, e.g. in Europe, and Japan.
The chances are very low, the political scientist noted, that the meeting of Joseph Biden and Vladimir Putin will smoothen the confrontation between the countries.
“It is all full of so many confrontations and the all-too-common red lines that I just see how Biden is tied by his hands and feet with these red lines, with a red gag in his mouth,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
