Sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 Russian gas pipeline will be imposed in any event, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said in a new article of his article series “The Fate of Humanism in the 21st Century” published on June 3 in the Essence of Time newspaper.
According to Kurginyan, the withdrawal of sanctions against NS-2 is “a happy exception” in the anti-Russian policy of the administration of the US President Joe Biden. But this is a temporary exception.
“First, this will not last. Because much more pro-US forces are about to come to power in Germany.
Second, this is a derivative of an incredible amenability of the Biden administration and personally the US leader, who is disposed to support anyone who brings valuable gifts, to corruption.
Third, the line of the Nord Streams will be cut immediately at any moment of crisis.
Fourth, alternative US terminals are hastily being prepared to supply Europe. And even relatively the pro-Russian Serbia is involved in the organization of such terminals.
Fifth, not only the pro-US Norway, but also the traditionally pro-German Czech Republic are demonstrating extreme aggression to us,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement reminded in the newspaper.
Sergey Kurginyan noted that the fact that Czech Republic is among Russia’s enemies and NS-2 as well as formerly peaceful Sweden’s refusal of neutrality could raise “concern” among the Russian authorities. However, the authorities “show almost no reaction,” “or rather they react the same way as sleeping people wave aside troublesome flies…”
