Nord Stream 2 is hostage to an impending confrontation with the West; the new German government supported by the United States will shut down the pipeline on its own, said political analyst and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on May 23 on the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on the Russia One TV channel.
Kurginyan urged not to be fooled by the fact that the United States had waived sanctions against Nord Stream 2 AG, the consortium for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
According to the political scientist, US President Joe Biden wants to grab Germany and unite Europe. That’s why Biden is avoiding tough action and “can’t kick his counterparts in Germany in the teeth right now.”
“Biden wants completely different forces in Germany. And these other forces are aimed at shutting down Nord Stream,” Kurginyan noted. “If we face major confrontations, all these ties will be broken.”
He drew attention to the fact that behind all the negotiations, the West is “ruthlessly and inevitably” moving toward a confrontation with Russia.
“In Germany, the people who the US elites will want to have will be elected. It [Germany] will dock definitively to the US aircraft carrier and will be given a hug. Once it will be accepted … it will be said, ‘Eine Kolonne marschiert! [Close column, forward march – German]’ And the column will march,” the analyst stated.
According to Essence of Time’s leader, the French military will not agree to be in this “eine Kolonne” at first, but “everything will unite in the end”, and it will unite “against Russia.”
China, which is acting more cautiously, will be the West’s next target, while Russia will be its first target.
“And then it will turn out that we are carrying out cyberattacks every day, doing this and that… And at that moment all this inconstancy will cease to exist, and the situation will be just as described. And shouldn’t we already be prepared for that?” Sergey Kurginyan concluded.
