The Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) five times over the past 24 hours, a DPR representative to the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCCC) in Donbass informed on May 19.
The Ukrainian army opened fire on the Gorlovka and Donetsk directions.
On the Gorlovka direction, the Ukrainian militants fired two grenades from recoilless anti-tank gun and 20 grenades from automatic grenade launcher, the large-caliber machine guns were also used.
On the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian military fired 18 120mm mortar shells from mortars and 10 grenades from automatic grenade launchers.
The Volvo Center and the Trudovskaya mine village in Donetsk, as well as Yakovlevka and Zaytsevo (Yuzhnoye) villages, came under Ukrainian army’s fire. A serviceman of the DPR People’s Militia was killed as a result of the shelling. There was no information about casualties among civilians or damage to civilian infrastructure.
Earlier, on May 18, representatives of the DPR at the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination stated that lately the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire in Donbass more frequently.
