The Ukrainian army opened fire on Donetskiy village in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR). Ivan Filiponenko, representative of the press service of the LPR People’s Militia, said this to journalists on March 30.
“Since the beginning of the day and despite the fact that the meeting of subgroups in the Contact Group has begun, the militants of the 14th brigade … violated the ceasefire, firing nine grenades from an automatic grenade launcher (AGS) in the direction of Donetskiy settlement,” he noted.
Such actions on the part of Kiev, according to Filiponenko, show the unwillingness and inability of the Ukrainian leadership to resolve the conflict in Donbass peacefully.
“Units of the People’s Militia did not react to the enemy’s provocations,” summarized the representative of the press service of the LPR People’s Militia.
On March 29, the leadership of the Lugansk People’s Republic reported about the shelling of its territory by the Ukrainian army. The Lugansk People’s Republic was shelled twice.
