Kurginyan: Joint Japanese-Turkish activity sounds crazy, but it’s real

20.02.2021, Moscow.

The growing tension along the entire Russian border has become obvious, and it will only increase, said political scientist, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on February 18 on the program Topic on the Donetsk Union channel.

Disturbing trends have become obvious, noted Kurginyan while discussing changes on the international political scene since Joe Biden was elected President of the United States. In particular, he noted that the situation is worsening and tension is growing on the Russian border, “Unfortunately, it seems to me that it will be happening along the entire border and this has already become obvious.”

In addition to the most obvious areas with tension such as Belarus and Transnistria – the political scientist pointed to Northern Europe, “Norway, with its new heavy US aviation equipment there, is not a coincidence. Even Denmark is preparing to counter Russian aggression: it has come to that.”

The growing anti-Russian sentiments in Moldavia and Turkey are becoming an issue on the Southern front. “Naturally, increased Romanization in Moldova is taking place specifically on an anti-Russian basis. Next are Turkish pro-Ukrainian actions vis-a-vis Crimea, not only against Donbass, but also against Crimea, ” explained an expert. Turkey has its own interests in the Northern Caucasus, stressed Kurginyan.

In addition to strengthening of the radical Islamism in Central Asia, relations with Kazakhstan are experiencing growing tensions, noted the leader of the Essence of Time, “Kazakhstan is recalling more and more a sort of Kazakh golodomor, a fictional famine and God knows what else.”

“And then comes the Far East, where tension is also growing: in fact, Japanese activity and joint Japanese-Turkish cooperation sounds astonishing, but it has become an undoubtable fact,” concluded Kurginyan.
