The events in the US demonstrate that the path Russia has been following is deadly, and that it must turn away from the West to find its own way of development, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on January 21 on the air of the Radio TV of Donetsk.
According to the leader of Essence of Time, the policy of becoming part of Western civilization that Russia adopted after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 is “a great mistake.”
“Firstly, because this is absolutely impossible and destructive, and secondly, because the Western world has begun to change in a way that only a madman would want to become part of it,” Kurginyan explained.
The political scientist stressed that the Russian elite should follow traditional ideals and national interests to develop a national development strategy that would reject the idea of becoming part of the “global community.”
“The Russian economy, instead of seeking to become part of the global economy as much as possible (it will always be part of it to certain extent), should seek to establish a moderate autarky, which is possible for Russia as the only country of this kind on the globe,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
The actions of the US Democratic Party around the presidential elections were associated with numerous violations, which astonished the American public. The election process showed to the world that the principles the Western world used to declare have been abandoned.
