Ceasefire violated in Syria 21 times over the day

The Russian side in the joint Russian-Turkish commission for ceasefire monitoring in Syria reported 21 violations of the ceasefire in Syria over the day, as an information bulletin of the Russian Ministry of Defense informed on January 14.

The bulletin reads that the ceasefire was violated 21 times in the Syrian provinces of Aleppo (1 violation), Idlib (13 violations), Latakia (5 violations), and Hama (2 violations).

Over the past 24 hours, the Turkish side recorded 9 ceasefire violations. The Russian Russian side confirmed none of them.

Over the past day, the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in the Syrian Arab Republic carried out two humanitarian actions in Safarkia in Latakia province, where 250 food packages were distributed and in Herbet al-Hazzur in Hama province.

The ceasefire on the territory of Idlib de-escalation zone has been in force since March 6, 2020. The agreement is guaranteed by Russia and Turkey.
