About one hundred people are engaged in intellectual work and the arts in the commune founded by the leader of the social and political movement the Essence of Time, philosopher and theater director Sergey Kurginyan. He said this in an interview with journalist Vladimir Solovyov on December 24 on the Soloviev Live YouTube channel.
“Inside this commune, the we solved the question of funding simply. People work two days: they make money through purely economic production on the first day and they spend the second day on science and arts,” Kurginyan said.
Kurginyan calls what happens in the commune a different type of life. “They have different eyes. A different understanding of everything in the world,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement noted. He believes that the commune members are moving towards becoming centers of attraction for people.
“Aleksandrovskaya Sloboda” as a communal settlement was founded in the Kostroma region in 2013 by a collective decision of the Essence of Time civic organization.
A high-tech enterprise that produces and exports goods, as well as the infrastructure for regular gatherings of the organization was created in the settlement. The commune members make up theater groups that perform plays at the Moscow Theater On the Boards, and are also involved in the creation of intellectual products. In 2017, they presented the book Ukrainism. Who constructed it and why as the result of their transdisciplinary research.
