Former Ukrainian MP: Yatsenyuk and Turchinov have given up Crimea at the US request

22.09.2020, Kiev.

Aleksandr Turchinov, who took the post of President of Ukraine in 2014, and Arseniy Yatseniuk, as Prime Minister in 2014, are responsible for Crimea’s re-unification with Russia, former member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament – Editor) David Zhvania stated on September 22 on YouTube channel.

The former deputy said that former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich was accused of losing the territory of Crimea as a result of the investigation by the Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigation (SBI). Thus, the real culprits Turchinov and Yatsenyuk dodged responsibility.

“‘They were the ones who did everything to make Crimea’s population hate the new Ukrainian government. It was they who made the decision to cut Crimea off from electricity and water supply, their people threatened to send nationalist detachments to Crimea and banned Russian language,” David Zhvania said.

The former politician specified that refusal from territories of the autonomous republic was caused by the fear of Crimean residents and understanding that they would vote against the authorities established as a result of the coup d’etat. US President Barack Obama’s administration banned Ukrainian authorities from ‘bothering’ about Crimea.

“Obama’s administration played some of its games with Putin, and Crimea became a pawn on the chessboard. Crimea was handed over to Russia for some purpose. No one in Ukraine knows with which one, no one tells us,” Zhvania stressed.

The former maidan organizer stressed that the USA are covering up Turchinov, Yatsenyuk and former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko, and that is why, despite numerous criminal cases, none of them has faced a trial.

“‘These people would have already been serving their terms in a jail. But, as we can see, they are not in jail. Apparently, the US prohibits them from being persecuted – I have no other explanation. Someone also prohibits some things to our Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova, who does not dare to open criminal cases on my statements,” David Zhvania said.
