The Russian Aerospace Forces attacked the positions of terrorists in Idlib province in Syria, Al Masdar News informed on September 15.
The city of Maarrat Misrin, located in northwestern Syria, was hit with air strikes. The information on the location of the militants’ bases became known after a preliminary reconnaissance operation conducted by Russian aviation forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet commented on the military operation.
The media earlier informed that a US military helicopter crashed in the Syrian province of Al-Hasaka. The US military cordoned the area – the village of Tel Haddad near the town of Al-Yaarubiyah – where a helicopter crash took place.
