Baghdad will soon hold talks on the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq with Washington, said Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi. The Kayhan newspaper reported this on April 16.
“I am determined to put an end to any unlawful presence of foreign troops,” the Prime Minister added.
“Baghdad will soon discuss the nature of [US] presence on Iraqi land with Washington,” the politician noted.
“Iraq should not be used as a field for settling scores,” he added.
Iran has previously welcomed the nomination of Kadhimi as a candidate to the post of Iraq’s Prime Minister.
