Ukrainian army fires 500 times on Donetsk People’s Republic over 24 hours

The Ukrainian punitive forces violated the Minsk agreements, as well as of the ceasefire agreements on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), 34 times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Representative Office in the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC) informed on its official website on April 11.

Shellings were registered on the Gorlovka, Donetsk and Mariupol directions. The Ukrainian side used infantry fighting vehicles main guns, anti-aircraft guns and small arms.

According to the JCCC, the Ukrainian army fired a total of 504 rounds of ammunition. The number of fired ammunition with a caliber less than 12.7 mm is not included in the overall statistics.

The following peaceful objects, which came under the Ukrainian punitive forces’ fire, were listed on the official website: Gorlovka, Vasilyevka, Yasinovataya, Zhabichevo, Spartak, the area of former Donetsk airport, Veseloye, Donetsk, Aleksandrovka, Staromikhaylovka, Yelenovka, Dokuchaevsk, Signalnoye, Yasnoye, Petrovskoye, Oktyabr, Kominternovo.

As a result of shelling, a man was injured by a mine blast and received shrapnel wounds in the village of Signalnoye; a low-pressure gas pipeline was damaged in the village of Yasnoye; three streets in the village of Staromikhaylovka were left without electric power.

Starting from July 21, 2019, according to the agreement reached by the Contact Group, the renewed commitment to observe a comprehensive, unconditional, sustainable and indefinite ceasefire came into force.
